Then Jesus Came

But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made (born) of a woman, made (born) under the law, to redeem the that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  Galatians 4:4-5

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.  Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher (perfector) of our faith.  who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:1-2

The song “Then Jesus came” speaks as follows:

  • verse 1 – the blind man
  • verse 2 – the demonic man
  • verse 3 – the leper, the deaf, the dumb, the raging fever
  • verse 4 – men today

Romans 8: 37-39 tells us “we are more than conquerors.”

Much is said of the miracles in Jesus’ earthly ministry.  They got people’s attention and they followed Him.

They drew the crowds to Him and then He was able to teach them.  They pointed to other things in their lives, their spiritual walk with God.

This beginning of miracle (signs) did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed on Him.  John 2:11

Some people still are seeking a sign.   Some ask why there are not more miracles today.

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.  Matthew 12:38-42

There are still miracles today but the greatest miracle of all is when He saved you.

John 3:7 says, You must be born again.
